Rain Fighter chapter 2 -4
The rest of the day went by slowly, with some talk about their mission and about monsters in general. When the sun begun to set both Aladar and Ariadne went early to bed. They were so tired that they could not stand on their feet anymore.
But when the night had fallen another being woke up and begun following 2 scents, it was the devilish girl that had arrived at the village after the attacks. She was a Succubus. Succubi are beings that don't have their own life force so they need to constantly feed on living being in order to survive.
Her mission was to watch over the monster attack and make sure everything went according to plan. When she discovered the dead Minotaur she followed the scents of the 2 survivor all the way to the city, to kill them. No survivors that was the order. But her quest was interrupted when the sun rose, since she was a
creature of darkness the sun caused her constant pain, limiting her movement to the night and the shadows.
Now of course the sun had set again so she quickly followed their scents to the inn, where they were sleeping. She decided to visit first the Minotaur killer. So flew up to his window. He would be a very easy pray, she had simple to attack him while he was sleeping and drain all his life force.
She punched the window open and the loud noise woke Aladar immediately up, he stared directly into her face, shocked and surprised. Now all she had to do was to suck his life out of his body. But she hesitated for a moment and that short moment of hesitation gave Aladar a chance to jump towards his sword and grab it. Now the succubus was surprised by his quick actions and her own hesitation, she had never hesitated before so why now?
In her confusion she made the decision to fly away and return another night.

Rain Fighter chapter 2 -3
The Mayor begun explaining, that the town's army was small and that the numbers of monsters was increasing, so they needed help to fight off all the monsters but he also that there is an emergency plan for a situation like this. The big cities in the North had much larger armies than the small towns in the South.
The Mayor continued by saying that they will create a small group that will travel North for help and maybe also find out why these attacks are happening. Furthermore the Mayor told them that he wants both Aladar and Ariadne on that group, Ariadne had proven many times in the past that she is a skillful fighter so she will be a good asset for thee group and Aladar had defeated a Minotaur monster on his own.
Both of them agreed being in the group. While both were still shocked from their experience they new that had to stop these attacks before everything gets worse. The best way to accomplish that was by getting help from other cities. The journey would begin in 3 days that would give them some time, to mourn and to prepare.
After the conversation with the Mayor the priest invited Aladar and Ariadne to the Temple of Persephone to pray for the souls of those who had died in the monster attacks. They gladly agreed and followed the priest.

Rain Fighter chapter 2 -2
The breakfast was delicious, but Aladar had difficulties eating it, he felt like a giant stone was sitting inside him. So he ate slowly. It took him a while to finish eating but eventually he did.
He took a deep breath and left the inn to visit the mayor. The town of Destofia was big, with many big roads and some smaller road, most of them were full of people doing in hurry to do their daily activities. There were also many street merchant selling their goods to people walking by. Like fruits and vegetables or household items. If someone didn't know the city well, hat person could easily get lost. But Aladar had been here many times before, so it was not difficult for him to find his way the town's hall, where the mayor office was.
He showed the guards the letter in which the mayor requested his presence and they let him in. The mayor greeted him once he walked in. Aladar noticed that Ariadne was already there talking to the mayor, she looked tired as if she had not slept much. She greeted him as well and she was happy to see him and Aladar greeted them as well.
Then the mayor explained to Aladar, that Ariadne had told him about the events of the previous night, how he defeated, one of the Minotaur monsters and how he helped Ariadne to escape the remaining monsters. The Mayor was clearly impressed.
Aladar explained him, that he was not entirely sure how he defeated the Monster, he told him that he felt out of nowhere his strength to increase as well as his agility and speed. He always felt somewhat stronger and more awake when he was outside in the rain but never like this before.
At the moment a priest walked into the mayor's office, he greeted them and then he spoke, telling them that Aladar might have been chosen by the goddess Persephone to protect them from the new rising of the negative life beings. This confused Aladar, why would he be chosen by the goddess. But the priest told him he should not question the will of the goddess because she has her reasons.
The Mayor spoke again, saying at the moment it didn't matter why, what was important at the time was that Aladar killed a monster on his own without any help, something no one else had done before. Ariadne nodded in agreement. So Aladar wanted to know if they had any plans...
